Put aside at least two hours for this chore, making sure other people in your home know that you cannot be disturbed. When you start mixing up your cleaning solutions, make sure the bathroom is well ventilated, so the fumes don’t build up.

You’ll need to mix equal parts ammonia, vinegar, and rubbing alcohol in a bowl or bucket to use as your base cleaning solution. A mixture of baking soda and peroxide is another great choice for cleaning shower tile grout, but you will not be able to clean with it until after waiting about five minutes. You can also purchase most of these items at any grocery store or pharmacy without having to go out of your way.

Finish up by wiping clean with a damp cloth, then towel dry completely. The result should be sparkling shower tiles that look just as good as new! You may need to repeat the process every week or so if you have very hard water or you do not use a squeegee after every shower.
