At some point in your life, you will need a plumber’s services for the maintenance, installation, and repair of your home’s plumbing and sanitary systems.

You may be able to deal with minor failures without any problem, but it is better to turn to real professionals in the sector when it comes to large plumbing projects. Below are some of the common plumbing problems you will encounter at home.

1.Leaky shower base.

This is a prevalent problem seen in older homes. You should not dismantle the pipes and the underlying water supply system, which can be a shower tray problem. A good plumber may have to carefully remove the underlying tiles or even repair the leak without breaking the tiles.

For single lever showers, you can easily remove the cartridge by unscrewing the metal face. Grasp the cartridge with pliers, and then wash it well. You will also notice that there is an O-ring that comes with the shower cartridge.

Remove the old O-ring and replace it with a new one to repair the leak. If the leak persists and you notice a water stain spreading on the wall, be sure to call your plumber right away.

2. Thermo-hydraulic system failures.

Nowadays, most people have a heating system, a boiler, or a water heater in our homes. And as you already know, these systems also need periodic maintenance, so as not to have problems when you need them most.

Periodic inspection and maintenance interventions must be performed by an authorized plumber to ensure the system’s correct operation and obtain quality work.

3.Blocked waste disposal.

Most of the time, you will notice a time when the garbage disposal will overflow. Instead of calling the plumber, what you can do is take a look at what is causing the problem. You can start by using DRANO, which works excellent for unclogging blocked pipes.

You can also use diluted vinegar to work the same way as DRANO if you can’t find it. You can then try snaking the pipe by pushing a pipe down to clear any clogs that are in the garbage disposal pipe at the time.

If your child has left something in the garbage disposal, then the only way to get it out is by dismantling the water storage system and the garbage disposal.

4.Problems inside your fauct.

These problems are also prevalent with faucets, whether it is the sink, the basin, or the shower head. In most cases, this is a leak, pressure problem, or scaling.

Plumbing, whether in an old or new house, is never immune to problems. Used on a daily basis, they require frequent repairs from experienced professional plumbers.
